Shorewood Small Businesses Eligible For $10K In Economic Support
Small businesses in Shorewood are getting an economic boost to help support payroll and rent expenses.
SHOREWOOD, IL – Small businesses in Shorewood are getting an economic boost to help support payroll and rent expenses.
The Shorewood Village Board has unanimously approved several measures to assist small businesses who are struggling because of the coronavirus pandemic, including the creation of the Shorewood CARES Small Business Relief Program.
The program will make $350,000 available to eligible businesses. Each businesses may seek up to $10,000 in assistance. Online applications are available beginning Monday.

The Village Board has also waived the 2021 business and liquor license renewal fees for all existing license holders.
"Our small businesses are facing unprecedented challenges and the Village is taking action to help them survive," said Mayor Rick Chapman in a statement.
