Shorewood's Seil Park Floods Thanks To Du Page River: Photos
At 1:45 p.m. Monday, the Du Page River was topped 9 feet. Flood stage in Shorewood is considered 6 feet 5 inches.

SHOREWOOD, IL — Shorewood's flood warning has been extended until 6:30 a.m. Friday for the east branch of the Du Page River. At 1:45 p.m. Monday, the flood waters reached 9 feet 3 inches. Flood stage is 6 feet 5 inches, Shorewood's Police Department said.
Shorewood officials expect moderate flooding over the coming days. The Du Page River is expected to fall below flood stage late Thursday morning.
On Monday, Shorewood's Clark Drive was inundated with water west of Route 59, police said. Several residential properties south of Caton Farm Road near Interstate 55 were also being threatened with flood water.

Late Monday afternoon, the flood waters of the Du Page River had overtaken Seil Park, which is along Seil Road.
