Smoothie King Expanding To Route 59 In Shorewood
Shorewood's Route 59 corridor remains on a roll, adding more popular businesses this summer.

SHOREWOOD, IL — A Smoothie King juice bar franchise will be opening later this summer in the village of Shorewood next to the Noodles & Company restaurant on Route 59, Patch confirmed Tuesday.
Shorewood village administrator Jim Culotta said the Smoothie King will occupy the empty storefront along Route 59 and Black Road that had been a Mattress Firm store.
It's in the same shopping center as the Mariano's grocery store. Last Thursday, the shopping center celebrated the grand opening for the new Marshall's clothing store and 1,000 people visited the store on its first day of business.

Culotta told Patch he is thrilled to land a Smoothie King for the growing village of Shorewood.
"We're excited Smoothie King has chosen Shorewood for its latest Chicagoland location," Culotta said Tuesday. "Smoothie King is a great addition to our diverse and expanding shopping and dining options."

Cullota said the Mariano's shopping center "is a great intersection for a lot of businesses, and that's why you're seeing a lot of activity there. And there's still other opportunities. I hope to see continued growth and activity in that area."
According to its website, Smoothie King has more than 1,000 locations in the U.S., the Republic of Korea, Trinidad & Tobago and the Cayman Islands. Smoothie King opened its first U.S. juice bar in New Orleans.
