Thanksgiving Feast Held At Local Christian School
"The feast is special because it helps me remember everything that I am thankful for," one student said.
SHOREWOOD, IL — Trinity Christian School students and staff came together Friday for a special Thanksgiving luncheon to celebrate the season. The annual luncheon, hosted by the school's Parent Teacher Ministry, gives students and teachers a chance to come together to give thanks and enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch complete with all the fixings.
Students look forward to the lunch and sitting with their Thanksgiving "buddy." Older students are matched with a younger student to sit with at the special lunch.
“The feast is special because it helps me remember everything that I am thankful for,” said Madelyn Fish, a TCS third grade student from Plainfield.

“I love the great conversations between the buddies,” added Fish’s 6th grade buddy, Emily Poole from Shorewood.
Before the feast, students also wrote something for which they were thankful on a paper leaf to make up the school's ThanksGiving tree. The tree and all the leaves were on display in the school's cafetorium.
