W.B.O. Student Council Hosts Drive-in Movie Fundraiser

The Troy 30-C club raised money for mental health education, suicide prevention

The William B. Orenic Intermediate School Student Council held an old fashioned outdoor drive-in movie at their school in May as a fundraiser for the organization, "Hope for the Day.” The organization is a not-for-profit that provides outreach services for mental health education and suicide prevention.

W.B.O. Student Council sponsors Ashley Frey and Loretta McKnight said the service project event was well-attended. The movie shown was, “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

The W.B.O. Student Council this year also collected pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House, held a canned food drive, and made Valentine’s Day cards for residents of a local retirement community.
