Aurora Man Killed In St. Charles Nightclub Shooting

Two of the three surviving victims underwent emergency surgery, while a third was treated and released.

ST. CHARLES, IL — An Aurora man was killed and three other people were wounded early Sunday in a shooting at a nightclub in St. Charles. Police said officers responded to Trilogy, 2051 Lincoln Highway, just after 2 a.m. to find two gunshot victims on the sidewalk in front of the club.

Both victims were taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, where one of the victims, later identified as Khalief D. McAlister, 23, of Aurora, was pronounced dead. police said. Both underwent surgery, and one is listed in critical condition while the other is in stable condition.

A third gunshot victim was taken to the hospital by a friend, who had also suffered a gunshot wound. A fourth victim was taken to Copley Hospital in Aurora, where they were treated and released.

Police said the Kane County Major Crimes Task Force is assisting in the investigation, along with the Aurora and Montgomery police departments.
