Other Towns' Firefighter Arrested in St. Charles Fight
St. Charles residents works part-time for Carpentersville and West Dundee fire departments.

A St. Charles man’s status as a part-time firefighter for two area departments may be in question after his weekend arrest during a Christmas party in St. Charles where he reportedly punched a woman in the face, the Daily Herald reports.
Jason S. Elders, 39, of St. Charles, has been removed from duty at the West Dundee Fire Department where he has worked part-time pending an internal investigation, village officials told the Daily Herald.

Meantime, the Carpentersville Fire Department, which also employs Elders on a part-time basis, acknowledged it is conducting its own internal investigation into the incident that reportedly involved Elders, the Daily Herald reports.

According to the Daily Herald, Elders was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge after he repeatedly punched a 37-year-old woman during a disagreement Sunday during a party at a garage on Townhall Road.
