When and how did your business get started?
In 2005 after graduating college I got a screen printing press for fun. In 2008 I started printing for local businesses and it has grown from there. Now I offer vinyl decals, embroidery, and screenprinting services.
What is your business best known for?
I take pride in the fact that all of my screenprinted t's hoodies and whatever else is requested is still HAND PRINTED. I believe that since they are hand printed by me, (the one who talks directly with the customers) that I can offer more custom options than a large chain. I like to make each order personal, from sales, to color options, to imprint locations and even open to trying new techniques.
How can people contact your business? anthony@thehairyant.com
What is your business website address? www.thehairyant.com
Does your business offer a special deals card or program?
Since every job is treated as custom and unique, pricing and options are always negotiable.
Share your business Facebook URL, if you have one. www.facebook.com/hairyant
What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?
I am a one-man shop, and The Hairy Ant originates from my name ANThony Harrison. From design, sales, printing, invoicing, inventory, cleaning etc. I make it happen.
Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?
I grew up in St. Charles, and chose to still live here. I also have several other friends with local small businesses in St. Charles, and we like to network together. All of my business is word of mouth and repeat business.
