District 303 Board Picks Lackner To Fill Vacant Seat

The board interviewed seven candidates Monday evening before selecting Joseph Lackner, who has four children in District 303 schools.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Joseph Lackner will take the vacant seat on the St. Charles District 303 school board, officials announced Tuesday.

Lackner, who has lived in the district since 2014, was chosen from a field of 22 applicants to fill the seat left vacant by former board member Michael Bryant’s resignation.

The District 303 board interviewed seven finalists Monday evening before selecting Lackner.

Lackner will take his seat at the board’s March 8 meeting. His term ends in 2023.

Board President Nick Manheim said members are excited for Lackner to join and “believe that his professional experience and personal qualities will be a welcome addition.”

Lackner is a management consultant with Ernst and Young, according to a news release. He and his wife have four children who attend District 303 schools.
