Gia Mia Pizza Bar To Open In St. Charles
Here's when and where the restaurant's third location is expected to open.
ST. CHARLES, IL — The BG Hospitality Group, LLC is opening a third Gia Mia Pizza Bar location early next year in St. Charles. Gia Mia St. Charles is located at 31 S. First St. in downtown St. Charles' First Street Plaza, according to the restaurant's Facebook page. Chef Brian Goewey and Gino Alimondi opened up Gia Mia in downtown Wheaton in April 2015 at 106 N. Hale St., and their second in downtown Geneva in March 2016 at 13 N. Third St., according to the restaurant Facebook page.
As described on the Facebook page, the Gia Mia restaurant concept is "designed around its custom-built mosaic-tiled wood-fired pizza oven…that when properly heated up can cook a Neapolitan Southern-Italian style pizza in 90 seconds or less."
Guests of all ages can enjoy a wide variety of scratch kitchen menu selections, including wood-fired pizzas, pastas, salads, small plates, seafood, seasonal, gluten free and more. The Gia Mia beverage menu includes handcrafted cocktails and regional Italian-inspired wines, according to the restaurant.

According to Goewey, the target opening date for the new St. Charles location is Feb. 4, and hours are still TBD.
