Happy Mother’s Day From Mary Fitzpatrick

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Mary Fitzpatrick's letter to her mom:

My mom is the best. She has always been a selfless person. She raised four children and always put us first. She provided daycare for many of her grandchildren. She hosted Sunday family dinners and most holidays for many years. She’s kind, loving and generous.

Although Alzheimer’s has robbed her of her ability to speak full sentences, it has not stolen her beautiful smile. Thank you, Mom, for being the best mother on the planet!
