Kane County Employee Tests Positive for Tuberculosis

An employee of RR Donnelley in St. Charles tested positive for tuberculosis, the Kane County Chronicle is reporting.

“An employee who works at the RR Donnelley St. Charles campus near and along Kirk Road had the positive TB test a couple weeks ago and hasn’t been back to work since,” Tom Schlueter, the health department’s communications coordinator told the Tribune. “We’re out there testing employees, doing our job to make sure all the other employees are safe,” Schlueter said.

As of Wednesday, there were five reported community TB cases so far this year in Kane County. The case at RR Donnelley does not count as one of the five because the employee is a DuPage County resident, Schlueter said.
