Kane County Man Arrested on Charges of Sexual Abuse of Boy on Plane

The alleged incident took place on a flight from Chicago to San Diego.

A federal complaint filed last week alleges that Kevin C. Matthews, 48, of the 0N100 block of Alexander Drive in the Mill Creek subdivision near Geneva, intentionally touched a 3-year-old boy’s genitals through his clothing with the intent to abuse him,” the Kane County Chronicle is reporting.

The incident is alleged to have happened March 23 on a flight from Chicago to SanDiego that had a layover in Salt Lake City.

“The boy and his family and Matthews were on a Delta Airlines flight that had a layover in Salt Lake City,” the Kane County Chronicle reported. “The boy’s parents were sitting separately from him because they were flying standby, according to the charges. The boy’s father and sister sat in the rear of the plane, while the boy and his mother sat on opposite sides of the aisle.”
