Laptop, Fire Extinguishers, Nav Unit Stolen from Cars in St. Charles
Two of five car burglaries reported last week resulted in losses over $1,000.

Several burglaries to cars parked in St. Charles were reported over the past week, with items stolen ranging from Apple products to five-pound fire extinguishers, the Kane County Chronicle reports.
According to the paper, burglaries were reported on Saturday on the 0-100 block of Southgate Court, at the parking deck at 100 Illinois Street and on the 1400 block of King James Avenue, and on Monday at the 1300 block of Elm Street and the 800 block of Ridings Lane.
The values of the items lost were $80, unreported, $1090, $65 and $1,260, respectively; items lost in the burglaries included two fire extinguishers, a stereo face plate, a $900 laptop, an iPod and iPad, a navigation unit and an emergency glass breaker, the paper said.Â
