See City Officials Honor Police Chief Jim Lamkin



Cirrent and former St. Charles, Ill., leaders honored retiring Police Chief Jim Lamkin on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, during a City Council meeting.


Lamkin is retiring Dec. 27, 2013 to take the helm of the Schaumburg Police Department.
The St. Charles City Council on Monday honored Police Chief Jim Lamkin for a little more than 10 years of service to the community.

The former deputy chief of the Elgin Police Department took the helm of the St. Charles Police Department in September 2003.

On Monday night, former City Administrator Larry Mulholland and former Mayor Sue Klinkhamer joined the City Council in honoring Lamkin, whose tenure with the city ends with his Dec. 27, 2013 retirement. He leaves to take over as chief of the Schaumburg Police Department.
