St. Charles Man To Serve 4 Years For Hitting Police Officer
Eric Ericson, 63, was convicted of two charges in Kane County's first jury trial since court resumed amid the coronavirus pandemic.
ST. CHARLES, IL — A St. Charles man was sentenced last week to serve up to four years in prison for hitting a police officer in the face while they were trying to arrest him.
Eric E. Ericson, 63, was convicted of aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting a police officer. Kane County prosecutors said Ericson hit a St. Charles officer in the face in April 2019 while police were serving an arrest warrant against Ericson for violating a court order.

Ericson will receive credit for serving 142 days in the Kane County jail between his arrest and his sentencing.
