Vehicles Entered During Early Morning Snowfall

St. Charles police learn three vehicles were entered as people slept.

St. Charles police were dispatched at 2:55 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 to the 300 block of South 7th Street after a resident reported hearing a snow plow, and when he went outside to see who was plowing, saw three people standing in his neighbor’s driveway looking into the neighbor’s vehicle.

The three then moved on to another home and began looking into the vehicle there. The man yelled, and the three people fled, and the man’s wife told police a fourth person exited a neighbor’s Toyota Camry and fled.

Police began following the footprints left in the snow by the suspects. One neighbor told police an iPod Classic 160 was stolen from his unlocked vehicle.
