2 Killed In Head-On Crash In Burlington Township: Sheriff
UPDATE: Two people are dead after a head-on crash early Thursday morning that may have been caused by snowy conditions, police said.
BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, IL — A early morning head-on crash Thursday in Burlington Township killed two people, Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain said.
A 27-year-old Hampshire woman was driving her car west on Plank Road around 6:50 a.m. Thursday when she crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a work van, Hain said.

Michael Crowley, 54, of DeKalb, who was sitting in the back of the work van, was taken to AMITA Health Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, where he died Thursday, Hain said.
The woman, who police have not identified, also died Thursday at Saint Joseph Hospital, the sheriff said.

A 19-year-old man was taken to another hospital with minor injuries, while a 51-year-old man driving the van was not injured, according to police.
Hain said the crash may have been caused by “blowing and drifting snowy roadway conditions.”
