Filed in 2014, the suit alleges the lesbian couple received sperm from a black man instead of a white man, leading to a mixed-race child.

Jennifer Cramblett, 36, of Ohio, filed suit in Cook County last year against a sperm bank that gave her and her lesbian partner of eight years the wrong sperm. The proceedings for that lawsuit are being moved to DuPage County, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.
Lawyers for the sperm bank successfully argued that the litigation should take place in DuPage County, where the bank is based.

Back in 2014, Patch reported that Cramblett and her partner, Amanda Zinkon, are white and had selected sperm from donor 380, “an athletic, blond man, a mix of Irish, German, English and French-Canadian, with hazel-green eye,” according to Midwest Sperm Bank’s donor roster.
That donor had features similar to Zincon’s.

Instead of sperm donor 380, the couple was sent sperm from an African-American man, leading to the birth of a mixed-race child. The couple was living in a small town of 2,800 people outside Akron.
One of Cramblett’s attorneys told the The Daily Herald Thursday that she has sold her home and moved in with her mother, with plans to move to a more diverse town.
Back in 2014, the attorneys said they are seeking a financial judgment that will allow Jennifer, Amanda and Payton to move to a more diverse, tolerant community. The lawsuit asks for damages in an amount exceeding $50,000.
