302 Wheaton To Serve Burgers, Brews In Former Auto Repair Shop
The family-friendly restaurant will offer casual eats and craft beer.
WHEATON, IL - Roadside burger stands are rare these days, but a new Wheaton restaurant plans to bring back the hometown vibe of those bygone burger spots. Set to open in September in a repurposed auto shop building, 302 Wheaton will serve classic burgers, craft beer, and more in a family-friendly setting.
Heading down Front Street, you can see 302 Wheaton's facade, that of a converted auto shop. The restaurant's location, a block away from the Metra stop, will be convenient for commuters as they return home from work.
Rustic picnic tables sit beneath a pergola on 302 Wheaton's patio, where diners can sip drinks from jars under the starlight. Since the start of 2019, the restaurant has aimed to open before the end of summer, giving guests a chance to enjoy al fresco dining.
