4 Cars Badly Damaged In Wheaton Garage Fire

Fire officials say the blaze broke out Monday night in the 700 block of South Gables Boulevard.

WHEATON, IL — No one was injured after a garage fire damaged four cars in the 700 block of South Gables Boulevard in Wheaton Monday night.

Fire officials were called to the scene just before 8:30 p.m. to find multiple cars on fire in a detached garage, with flames getting close to several adjacent single-family homes. All residents had safely escaped the blaze and fire crews were able to control the flames within 15 minutes.

Residents were able to safely return to their homes, which sustained minor damage. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
