Best Pizza Near Wheaton: Patch Readers Pick

WHEATON, IL — To shed the spotlight on local pizzerias, we recently asked Wheaton residents to weigh in on their favorite pizza joints. More than 80 readers responded to the poll, and three pizzerias came out on top.

The winners were:

• Maciano's Pizza and Pasta, 26W220 Geneva Rd., Winfield
• Lou Malnati's Pizzeria, 343 E. Geneva Rd., Carol Stream

Fans of Gianorio's praised the pizzeria's "outstanding crust" and "sweet sauce." One reader wrote, "Pizza is subjective, but since moving to Winfield and discovering Gianorio's, we feel that we have hit the jackpot...consistently great pizza...every time we order it's the same quality pizza."

Those who voted for Maciano's raved about the restaurant's "quality cheese, sauce and toppings." One fan of Maciano's wrote that the pizza is "so good and gooey." Another fan shared, "Their sausage is tasty and high quality. Also, a just-right balance between cheese and sauce."

Lovers of Lou Malnati's praised the eatery's "butter crust" and "cheese to sauce ratio." One fan wrote that Lou Malnati's is "always tasty" and has a "great crust." Readers recommended the restaurant's deep dish pizza.
