ComEd had been working throughout the night to resolve power issues throughout the area.

WHEATON, IL --- More than 24 hours after Monday's official blizzard warning ended, hundreds of ComEd customers in Wheaton were still left without power. At around 11 a.m., roughly 950 Wheaton residents were still without electricity, according to a post from city officials on social media.

ComEd crews had been working frantically throughout the night to resolve power outages that impacted tens of thousands of customers throughout the greater Chicago area. As of Tuesday afternoon, ComEd officials said there were some 25,000 customers without power.

In a press conference, a ComEd representative said 800 crews were working on the issues and that sister companies from as far away as the east coast were being brought in to help resolve the outages.
