Brush Pickup Starts April 17 in Wheaton; Here's Everything You Need to Know

Brush pickup begins this week and continues into mid-December .

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton residents can start hauling sticks, plants and other brush to the curb on Monday, April 17. The village's curbside brush pickup service will continue until the second full week of December. Here's what you need to know about this season's brush pickup in Wheaton.

  • Items must be placed in biodegradable paper bags or in containers no larger than 30 gallons
  • Each bag or container must not exceed 50 pounds
  • Each container and bag must be labeled with a yard waste/organics sticker

Several types of organic waste, food items and compostable items can be included with yard waste/organics for brush pickup. Grease, cooking oil, plastic, cans, bottles, liquids, produce stickers, hazardous waste and other items cannot be included.

The City of Wheaton website has detailed information on what can and cannot be included in the annual brush pickup.
