Classes Resume Wednesday in District 200

Relief from record cold, dangerous wind chills means kids will be headed back in school.

Community Unit School District 200 says classes will resume Wednesday, Jan. 29, at all its schools after students had two days off out of safety concerns related to the dangerous cold that had descended on the area with an Arctic cold front.

“After-school activities will resume their normal schedule as well,” read a message posted Tuesday on the district’s website. “Please check with your individual school regarding any re-scheduled activities or events.”
