ComEd May Reimburse Customers For Damages After Blizzard Outages
Customers must have proof of damages or repairs after outages that lasted more than four hours.

WHEATON, IL --- ComEd customers who experienced a lengthy power loss after the recent Thanksgiving winter storm may be eligible to receive reimbursement for their service payments. To be considered for a refund, customers must have been without power for at least four hours and have experienced "actual damages" because of the outage, ABC 7 reports.
Customers who have proof of damages and repairs may download fill out a claim form on the ComEd website or call ComEd directly to get a claim form mailed to them.
On its website, ComEd notes that it is "not responsible for damages from factors beyond [its] control, such as storms or outside interference, and [its] responsibility for damages is governed by the terms of our tariff which imposes a limit on our liability."
