Contractor Hits Utility Pole, Closing Part Of Manchester

WHEATON, IL — Manchester Road is closed between Hazelton and County Farm after a contractor hit a utility pole Tuesday afternoon. Motorists have been advised to steer clear of the area.

If you need to visit a DuPage County facility or business, it is recommended that you enter the government complex via the County Farm Road north entrance.

The incident happened while crews were installing a new water main at the intersection of Hazelton and Manchester.

At press time, city officials did not confirm whether anyone was injured in the incident or say how long the road was anticipated to be closed.
