The zoo had been closed since March 16 due to the coronavirus shutdown, but will reopen for members July 6 and 7.

WHEATON, IL — After more than three months of being closed to the public due to the new coronavirus shutdown, Cosley Zoo is set to reopen July 6. The zoo closed its doors March 16 amid the pandemic, but will reopen for members July 6 and 7 and for the general public July 8.
Sue Wahlgren, Director of Cosley Zoo, said in a statement, "Seeing our zoo come alive with excited faces is something we have truly missed. We can't wait to welcome everyone back! Our team has worked diligently to put safety measures in place so that guests can enjoy a safe and positive experience as they visit all of their favorite animals."
To help ensure social distancing, the zoo will require tickets to be reserved in advance for a set time. Member reservations begin July 1 and public reservations start July 3 at the Cosley Zoo website. Visitors will be limited and hours will be reduced to from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
