Detour Planned For Part Of Liberty Drive In Wheaton This Week

A temporary detour will be in place for eastbound traffic on Liberty Drive from Wheaton Avenue to Main Street on Monday, March 22 through Friday, March 26 from approximately 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. This temporary lane closure is necessary for crews with the Downtown Streetscape Project to replace underground utilities.

Signs will be in place directing motorists around the affected area. Crews anticipate being able to leave one lane open for westbound traffic, but please use caution when driving in the construction area. Once crews complete work each day, they will reopen both lanes
