District 200 Offering Meals For Kids, Food Pantries In Wheaton
District 200 is offering meals for children 18 and younger and a week of groceries at no cost.
WHEATON, IL — As Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker's stay-at-home order continues and schools remain closed, Community Unity School District 200 is providing meals for children at various sites throughout the city and surrounding areas. The district is also offering mobile food pantries that will provide a week's worth of groceries for families at no cost.
The food service will provide breakfast and lunch meals from Organic Life for children 18 or younger Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the following school-based sites. The food service will also be available during spring break, which is March 30 through April 3.

- Hubble Middle School 3S600 Herrick, Warrenville
- Johnson Elementary School 2S700 Continental Drive, Warrenville
- Monroe Middle School 1855 Manchester, Wheaton

Mobile Food Pantries
District 200 partners with Northern Illinois Food Bank to drive-through mobile food pantries. The pantries, which provide any area families with a free week's worth of groceries, are available at the following dates and locations:

- March 25 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Lowell Elementary, 312 S. President, Wheaton
- April 1 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Johnson Elementary, 2S700 Continental Dr., Warrenville
District 200 officials say these sites will implement social distancing to help keep community members safe.
