ACROSS ILLINOIS — January 14 marks a holiday that many pet owners observe on the regular, but may not know about. National Dress Up Your Pet Day celebrates the adorable, hilarious, and downright ridiculous outfits that we've collectively subjected our pets to.

Patch wants to feature photos of your dressed-up pets in an upcoming article to celebrate the holiday. Whether it's a pug in a tutu or a ferret in a full-length gown, we're here for your amazing pet photos.

Follow these instructions to send in your pet pics:

  • Take or find a photo of your pet dressed up in a costume, coat, or other outfit
  • Email only that photo as an attachment to lisa.farver@patch.com with the subject line "Dress Up Your Pet"
  • Wait until Jan. 14 to see if your pet made the roundup article and to admire the other adorable four-legged friends
  • Deadline is Jan. 12 at 4 p.m.
