DuPage Co. Traffic Courts Closed Starting Nov. 23 Due To Pandemic

The traffic courts will be closed until the end of the year.

DUPAGE COUNTY, IL — Due to the ongoing new coronavirus pandemic, DuPage County is closing its traffic courts starting Nov. 23. The traffic courts will remain closed through Dec. 31, according to a news release.

Traffic court dates will be rescheduled to a future date at least 28 days from their current court date. Residents can click the link to find out their new court date and notices will also arrive via mail.

"In order to protect the health and safety of court employees and the general public, we decided that continuing traffic matters through the end of this year was the responsible and prudent step to take in response to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and follow the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control, Illinois Department of Public Health and DuPage County Health Department," Chief Judge Daniel P. Guerin said in the new release.
