DuPage County High School Students Needed For Election Night
"It gives them an opportunity to see the election up close," said an official with the Election Commission

The DuPage County Election Commission is seeking 50 high school students for evening of April 4 to help with the Consolidated General Election, according to a county press release.
Student workers would work from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Election Commission office, located at 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. Students must provide a driver’s license, state ID card or student ID card and their Social Security Number.
The students will help received election materials from polling places, but they will not handle any ballots. The primary purpose of using students is to let them get a glimpse of how their government works.

“It gives them an opportunity to see the election up close,” said Annette Ramos, executive assistant at the DuPage County Election Commission. Ramos also said letters detailing this opportunity were sent to local high schools.
The pay is $8.25 per hour. Student interested should send their name, phone number and email address to Lori Heipp at lori.heipp2@dupageco.org.
