Expect Temporary Road Closure At Hale Street

WHEATON, IL — Part of Hale Street in Wheaton will be closed temporarily to accommodate crews as they replace an outdated water main and sanitary system. The road work will mean no parking on Hale between Front and Wesley starting Oct. 4.

Crews expect to fully close Hale Street to traffic and parking from dawn to 4 p.m. starting Oct. 9. Businesses will still be open to pedestrian traffic.

City officials say the utility work should last about two weeks. Detour signs will be posted throughout the day and traffic will reopen every evening.
