Are you looking for a new four-legged best friend? A.R.F.-Animal Rescue foundation has many cats and dogs available for adoption. We're based in Wheaton, IL and perform pet adoptions in DuPage County.
Get ready for fluffy white fur and short little legs, it’s time for a senior spotlight staring 14-year old Westie, Palomo. This old boy still has plenty of love to go around. Whether watching Netflix or hanging out on the porch, his favorite spot to be is snuggled right beside his human.
Palomo’s a little slow, between his short legs and partial blindness, but that doesn’t stop him from tackling a few steps or from finding you in the house. He prefers to walk and doesn’t mind being picked up and carried if you need to move a little faster. Already have a pup? Palomo gets along great with his current foster siblings (3 labs!) and enjoys laying next to them. He’s not sure about kittens but will tolerate them.

Paolmo may take a little time to warm up to you. Once he knows he can trust you, you’re in for the quite a treat. Luckily, Palomo takes treats very gently and LOVES chicken, so there are a few ways to win him over quickly.
