Former Jack Straw's May Become Another Pizzeria
The building was put up for sale after Jack Straw's owner William Hood died in November.

WHEATON, IL — There's been a huge hole in Wheaton's dining landscape ever since the beloved Jack Straw's Pizza closed last July. Though it will be impossible to replace the pizzeria that residents loved for more than 35 years, another pizza restaurant may end up occupying the building and hoping to start a new tradition.
Jim Kozik, the city's economic development director, told Daily Herald that an independent restaurateur is currently in talks to purchase the iconic building. The real estate sale has not been finalized, but more details will likely emerge once it is, Daily Herald reports.
