Four Brothers Chocolates Opens In Former Jack Straw's Building

The store will feature hand-crafted chocolates, toffee and other sweet treats.

WHEATON, IL — It's been nearly three years since Jack Straw's Pizza closed their doors at its iconic 221 S. Naperville Rd. location. Now, the smell of freshly baked pizza will be replaced with the aroma of freshly made chocolate in the small brick building as Four Brothers Handcrafted Chocolates opens to the public.

The store, which opened for business Thursday, will serve up a variety of handmade chocolates, butter almond toffee and other treats that are made on-site in small batches. The selection includes chocolate bars, nonpareils and drinking chocolate.

The location will be open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The family-owned Four Brothers Handcrafted Chocolates got its start in 2011 as a hobby for owner John Houlihan's parents, who sold the chocolates at the Wheaton French Market for years, according to the Four Brothers website. Houlihan went on to start Four Brothers Handcrafted Chocolates in 2017, selling small batch chocolates wholesale.

On the company's website, Houlihan said he is "excited" to open the business in the family's hometown of Wheaton.
