Free Puppy Mill Workshop To Educate Public In DuPage County

The workshop aims to educate residents about the effects of puppy mills on animals, businesses, and pet owners.

WHEATON, IL — DuPage County will host a free workshop to educate residents about puppy mills. The workshop, planned for June 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will cover the laws surrounding puppy and kitten mills, pet store supply chains, and more.

Experts will be on hand from DuPage County Animal Services, local pet store owners, and other organizations to share their knowledge and answer questions. Pet owners will also be present to share stories about their personal experiences dealing with puppy mills.

DuPage County Animal Services Chairman Brian Krajewski said in a statement that the workshop aims to "educate, serve as a resource, and empower individuals to create change in their own communities so that Illinois can become the humane state we all know it can be.”
