Freight Train Derails In West Chicago, Causing Delays
The freight train derailed around 2:15 p.m. under Kress Road.

WEST CHICAGO, IL -- Commuters who use the Metra Union Pacific West line ran into some extra travel headaches Tuesday afternoon due to a derailed freight train in West Chicago. The train came off the tracks near the intersection of Roosevelt and Kress Roads, according to WGN.
The #54 UPW-Metra train set to arrive at Ogilvie at 4:43 p.m. would be delayed up to 20 minutes due to "freight train interference," Metra officials shared on Twitter.
