Front, Liberty Street Traffic Signals To Be Turned On In Wheaton
Police will be on hand Monday to help with the flow of traffic as drivers get readjusted.
WHEATON, IL -- Crews are expected to turn on the new traffic signals at Front and Liberty Streets in downtown Wheaton Monday. City officials said the pedestrian crosswalks at intersections on these streets will also be active again.
The traffic signals will be activated at:
- Front and Main Streets
- Front and West Streets
- Liberty Drive and Main Street
- Liberty Drive and West Street
Wheaton Police will be on hand to help the flow of traffic after the new traffic lights are activated.

Traffic had been moderated by temporary stop signs on Liberty and Front Streets as the city wrapped up part of its downtown streetscape project. Motorists are advised to use additional caution as they become "re-accustomed to these intersections," city officials said in a news update. Pedestrians are reminded to follow the traffic signals and street signs posted.
