Help 'Clear The Shelters' At DuPage County Animal Services

Dozens of animals will be up for adoption with discounted fees on August 18.

WHEATON, IL — DuPage County Animal Services has an overload of kittens and dogs and they need your help. The shelter will take part in the special Telemundo and NBC 5 Clear the Shelters event on August 18 in the hopes of finding forever homes for cats, dogs, and rabbits currently being housed on the premises.

During the Clear the Shelters event, adoption fees will be waived for all cats and dogs who are 6 months old or older. DuPage County Animal Services will also offer discounted adoption fees during the event. The adoption costs on August 18 during the drive are as follows:

Individual kittens: $90 plus $10 fee for microchip registration

Pairs of kittens: $150 plus $20 fee for microchip registration

Rabbits: $20 each including a Cottontail Cottage while supplies last

Puppies (if available): $200 standard adoption fee plus $10 for microchip registration.

Ahead of the Clear the Shelters Drive, DuPage County Animal Services is offering early bird deals to help clean out their filled cat shelter. If you come in prior to Clear the Shelters, you can take advantage of a waived adoption fee for the first 25 cats, adopt one kitten for $120 and get a buddy kitten at no additional fee (valid until 10 pairs are adopted out).
