How Schmaltz Delicatessen Is Giving Back Amid Coronavirus

WHEATON, IL — Schmaltz Delicatessen, which has a location in Naperville, recently opened an Express spot in Wheaton. Amid the new store opening, the delicatessen is still finding ways to give back to the community during the new coronavirus crisis.

Schmaltz Delicatessen Marketing Coordinator Rachel Goodman told Patch the restaurant has donated over 250 boxed lunches to "local hospitals, fire stations, medical clinics, pharmacies, and more."

Schmaltz is also offering the opportunity for community members to sponsor a boxed lunch donation. If you need a donation or would like to sponsor a donation, you can contact Lynne, Schmaltz Delicatessen's Catering Director, at 630-839-9433 for more information.

The delicatessen will deliver to Naperville, Wheaton and surrounding communities, depending on the size of the order.

Goodman told Patch, "It is rewarding to be able to give back in our own unique way by providing meals to people that need the energy to continue to fight this virus. We really feel that we've been able to make a small impact in our local community, and that's what it's all about!"
