IDOT To Start Road Resurfacing Projects In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — The Illinois Department of Transportation is set to begin work resurfacing streets in Wheaton. The project, which will begin on July 14, includes resurfacing and curb replacement on Harrison Avenue and Blanchard and President Streets.

City officials say the road work is scheduled to take place as follows:

Week of July 14: Harrison Avenue from College Avenue to Ellis Avenue

Week of July 21: President Street from Blanchard Street to Route 38

Electronic messaging boards will be used to notify commuters of detours and road work during the construction. The project, which also includes work on storm and sanitary systems, is expected to be completed by September.
