Local High School Dance Teams are Headed to State

The Wheaton Warrenville South and St. Francis High School dance teams are state bound.

Wheaton Warrenville South High School finished in finished in third place last weekend at the Class 3A IHSA Dance sectional in Rolling Meadows, earning a trip to next weekend’s state meet. St. Francis competed in the Class 2A sectional in Tinley Park and qualified for state with a fifth place finish.


Other local high school teams to qualify for state include Glenbard North and Glenbard West. Wheaton North competed in the Class 3A sectional in Rolling Meadows and finished in eighth place but only the top six teams qualified for state.

The state finals will be held on Jan. 29 and 30 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.
