Why are you running?

I decided this summer that it was time for me to give my unique experience back to the community. There are many issues that are not getting addressed in Wheaton that I feel will continue to be put off unless there is someone on the council that will listen and act on behalf of the citizens.

Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office:

Former President Facility Management Section Illinois Park and Recreation Association

Campaign Website: www.robbinsforcouncil.com

What do you hope to accomplish in office?

I would like to accelerate finding a viable solution to alleviate flooding and ensure that we are spending the appropriate amount of capital dollars on improving our storm water and sanitary systems.

I would also like to work on building up the areas and bringing new business to the south side of the track

How would you hold local government employees accountable?

Budgets are the main areas to hold department leaders and employees accountable. Spending must be kept in check specifically in areas that do not have revenue to support expenses.

Explain your attitudes toward fiscal policy, government spending and how taxpayer dollars should be handled by your office (or board)?

I'm fiscally conservative both in my personal and professional life. I believe that this stance must also be taken in government and in the position of City Council for Wheaton.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

My 16 years civic experience running park district facilities will enable me to hit the ground running as council person as I am no stranger to how city government runs. My other 16 years of experience in Construction and Capital Projects is the unique experience that this council needs as we embark on multi-million dollar construction projects over the next 4 years

What else would you like voters to know about you and your positions?

I am going to listen and be the voice of the citizens of Wheaton and will ensure that all decisions keep their best interests in mind. I will be maniacally focused on keeping taxes in check and providing positive leadership. I have the relevant experience and would be honored to have the citizens vote this April 4th!
