Purse Stolen, Car Windows Broken: Wheaton Police Blotter

In separate incidents, a purse was stolen from a resident's car and car windows were broken, according to Wheaton police reports.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police are investigating a car burglary and a separate incident involving criminal damage to cars, according to the city's most recent police blotter.

Criminal Damage To Vehicles

Police say windows were broken on "a couple of cars" in the 600 block of West Childs Street, the police blotter states. The incidents took place sometime between Feb. 10 and Feb. 24.

Car Burglary

A resident reported that a purse was stolen from their car while it was parked in a driveway in the 1400 block of South Main Street. Police say the incident was reported at 5:49 p.m. on Feb. 24 and that the car had been left unlocked.
