A.R.F. Call to Action – Volunteers Needed!

Have you ever wanted to help cats in need, but held back because you can’t adopt or foster? A.R.F partners with PetSmart to provide temporary homes for rescue cats. This partnership relies heavily on volunteers loving care for our rescue cats.

What’s Involved: Playing with, petting, and cuddling cats. Refreshing food and water. Cleaning cages.

When: Morning (8am-11am) & evening (5pm-8pm) shifts available any day of the week.

How Long: 2-hour shifts, timing is flexible within PetSmart store hours.

Where: Locations in Darien and Wheaton

Why it Matters: While cat centers provide homes for cats when fosters are scarce, cats in these locations get limited human interaction. Having volunteers take care of and interact with cats gives them more chances to socialize with humans and keeps them in higher spirits, therefore improving their chances of making a meaningful connection with a future owner.
