Safety Saturday Brings Cops, 'Copters To DuPage Fairgrounds
Kids can meet McGruff the Crime Dog and grownups can try to dunk cops at this free, family-oriented event.
WHEATON, IL — Kids can watch a helicopter land, meet McGruff the Crime Dog, and try to dunk a cop during Safety Saturday at the DuPage County Fairgrounds. The free event will feature squad car and Hummer demos, and more as part of the DuPage Care Center's 52nd Annual Fall Festival.
Dash through a S.W.A.T.-style obstacle course and try your hand at a climbing wall before you meet and greet K-9 police officers. Visitors can also get their faces painted and snap shots in a photo booth, then relax with snacks from one of several food trucks.
The fairgrounds will be filled with cop cars, fire trucks, and military vehicles that kids can explore throughout the event, which takes place on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
