Second Jersey Mike's Subs Now Open In Wheaton

The sub restaurant is running a promotion through Feb. 18 to benefit Wheaton North School Boosters.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton's second Jersey Mike's Subs is now open for business at 2115 W. Roosevelt Road. The restaurant opened on Valentine's Day and will continue its promotional fundraiser through Feb. 18 to benefit the Wheaton North High School Boosters. Customer with a coupon can get a regular size sub sandwich if they donate at least $1 to the Wheaton North High School Boosters.

Jersey Mike's Subs passed out 7,500 coupons throughout Wheaton ahead of Wednesday's grand opening, which was helmed by franchise owner Jim Shipman. Shipman called the fundraiser a "wonderful way to give back to this community," in a press release.

Shipman, who owns Jersey Mike's stores in Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn, St. Charles, Elmhurst, Oak Brook Terrace, Mount Prospect, and South Elgin, said he was "thrilled" to be opening the new second location in Wheaton.

Jersey Mike's, which opened its first store in 1956 uses locally sourced veggies, house-cooked roast beef, and freshly sliced meat to make its classic sub sandwiches. The bread is baked fresh in store every day, according to the company's website.

Customers can get cold subs like the veggie sandwich or the turkey breast provolone, or opt for warm subs that include chipotle steak and cheese, chicken parmesan, and grilled pastrami reuben.

The menu also features wraps and kids meals. In addition to its normal menu Jersey Mike's also offers event catering.
