Traffic Lanes Reduced At Main And Wesley Street In Wheaton

The left turn lane on Main Street will be eliminated temporarily as crews pour new curbs.

WHEATON, IL — Traffic will be reduced to a single lane at the intersection of Main and Wesley in downtown Wheaton as crews work to pour new curbs. The road work started Thursday and temporarily eliminates the left turn lane on northbound Main Street.

City officials said there will be a single lane of traffic in both directions on Main Street near the work site. The project is part of Wheaton's ongoing efforts to revitalize its streetscape.

The construction should last about one to two weeks, at which time traffic will return to normal.
